How to get more Drifters
Check these limits first
New Drifters do not solve a weak economy; they increase its demand. Before accepting an arrival, verify that the settlement has free housing, a stable food surplus and a job that improves the current production chain. If prompts feel slow, continue normal progression rather than building empty housing indefinitely.
Main recruitment routes
- Immigration prompts: periodically offer people who can join the cove.
- Sea events: exploration encounters may lead to new characters or recruitment opportunities.
- Progression events: discoveries such as the Rising Sun chain can change who becomes available.
Recruit in controlled waves. One or two workers assigned to a blocked production chain are more valuable than a large unemployed population consuming food. When an offer appears, check the candidate's usefulness against current vacancies before accepting.
If no Drifters appear
Confirm that time is advancing normally, the settlement has capacity and no unresolved prompt is waiting elsewhere in the interface. Then keep exploring and completing objectives. There is no verified official cheat command that instantly adds Drifters.
